KA810 Asphalt Primer for Bitumen Waterproof Membrane is a standard asphalt primers water-based and specially developed for roofing and wall surfaces prior to applying cold self-adhesive bitumen membranes or heat-welded membranes. KA810 is formulated with a rubber-modified bitumen and fast-evapourating solvents for quick drying, and enhanced membrane adhesion to a variety of substrates, such as gypsum, masonry, metal or concrete. This improves membrane performance over a wide range of temperatures and conditions. It can be applied with a brush, roller or sprayer.
Functions
A primer comes first and serves as a base in applying bitumen waterproof membrane. It is recommended to use first before the membrane and important for the best possible adhesion. More importantly, the better the contact with the substrate, the better the primer’s performance.
Precaution
1) It can’t be constructed below 5℃ or in rainy and snowy weather.
2) Before applying the primer, ensure the substrate is clean and free of oil and dust.
Storage
1) Store the primer in a dry and ventilated room at 5℃~40℃;
2) The product has a shelf life of 24 months in correct storage condition.
3) Avoid exposure to sunlight and rain, and do not approach ignition sources and prevent collisions.
